Late Nights, Mud Holes, and Total Chaos at Redneck Yacht Club

Late Nights, Mud Holes, and Total Chaos at Redneck Yacht Club

The racing at Redneck Yacht Club was insane, but honestly, some of the best parts of the weekend happened after the races were over.

Once the sun went down, the whole park changed. The trails filled back up, the music got louder, lights were flashing through the woods, and everybody started doing what they came to do: ride, hang out, and see who could make it through the mess.

Night Riding at RYC

We spent a big part of the weekend riding late into the night with friends and a bunch of other riders we met along the way. One machine that was hard to miss was the Dustle Powersports crew’s massive Honda Pioneer 1000 8-seater on 52-inch tires.

Behind them, we had our mostly stock Honda Talon running 32-inch Aztex XX tires on 14x7 Terache Ultralight Beadlock Wheels.

Somehow, that Talon stayed right in the mix.

We made laps around the park for hours, hit trail after trail, stopped for food, checked out builds, talked with people, and rode with JR OG until the place was absolutely beat down. By the end of the night, the trails were full of deep ruts, silty holes, and mud pits everywhere.

The best part? None of our machines got stuck.

That’s the kind of thing you remember after a weekend like this.

The Bridge Was as Wild as Ever

If you’ve been to Redneck Yacht Club, you already know about the bridge area. If you haven’t, it’s one of those spots you have to see in person.

You’ve got riders cruising over the wooden bridge, and underneath it, people are trying to skim across a nasty mud and water crossing that looks harmless until it eats somebody’s machine.

That mud under the bridge was no joke. It was basically quicksand.

Machines were buried out there for hours. One ATV even had the rear rack ripped off during a recovery after it got swallowed by the mud.

Of course, that didn’t stop anybody from trying.

FL Vaden’s Hydroplane Run

One of the best moments of the weekend was watching FL Vaden send it under the bridge on his Can-Am Renegade 1000 running Aztex XX tires.

He hit the water, got on top of it, and skimmed the whole way across without ever touching bottom.

Everybody watching lost it.

That run showed exactly why so many riders have been talking about the Aztex lineup. They skim well, pull hard, stay light, and give you the flotation you need when the bottom basically disappears.

Putting the Test Machines Through It

The Terache Foreman and Rincon test units got plenty of abuse all weekend.

The Foreman was running 33-inch Aztex XL tires, and the Rincon test rig was on 30-inch Aztex XX tires with the new 47% gear reduction setup.

That gear reduction made a huge difference.

The Rincon had better low-end pull, better control in the nasty stuff, and way more confidence turning larger tires through deep mud. It completely changed how the machine felt. By the end of the weekend, it had proven itself over and over again.

Late-Night Audio Party

After the races Saturday night, everybody ended up back around the bridge.

Before long, it turned into a full-on audio party. Trucks, ATVs, and side-by-sides were parked everywhere, music was blasting, lights were glowing across the mud, and people were just hanging out and enjoying the night.

That’s the stuff that makes these events what they are. The racing is awesome, but the people, the machines, and the late-night rides are what make you want to come back.

Terache Was All Over RYC

One of the coolest things for us was seeing Terache products all over the park.

We saw Aztex XX tires, Aztex XL tires, gear reductions, axles, and beadlock wheels on machines everywhere we went.

We also got a lot of feedback from riders who were putting the products through real abuse all weekend. People were talking about the skim performance, reverse traction, lighter feel, ride quality, and how well everything held up during long rides.

That kind of feedback means a lot when it comes from riders actually using the parts in the mud.

A Strong Weekend for Team Terache

To top it all off, Team Terache finished first place in the Honda Side-by-Side season standings, and Vessel Powersports finished first place in the Honda Solid Rear Axle class standings.

That’s a pretty solid way to start the year.

We’ll be back at Redneck Yacht Club later this year for another King of the Deep takeover, and we already know it’s going to be a good one.

If you want to run the same kind of setups we had out there, check out the Aztex XX tires, Aztex XL tires, Terache gear reductions and drivetrain parts, and Terache Ultralight Beadlock Wheels.
